Course Objectives This Unit is designed to enable candidates to demonstrate their understanding of the Business Excellence concept in the context of managing the supply chain. On completion of this Unit candidates should also be able to demonstrate how leadership of the management of people and resources, in line with policies and strategy, combine with the processes to produce business results.
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Will be able to trace the origins and define the key factors affecting business excellence
  • Will be able to develop strategies to meet the business challenge
  • Will be able to construct a business excellence plan and demonstrate its use supported by a variety of techniques
Course Description It is primarily intended for candidates who aspire to take up a management position in any type of organisation where supply chain will play a major role. It would also be appropriate for those involved in the various functions associated with service, retail, public and manufacturing organisations, including inventory, stores, production, distribution, planning, demand management and purchasing.
