Course Objectives The unit is designed to expand the knowledge in purchasing and supply functions by increasing the breadth and depth of the candidates' knowledge by addressing issues at a more strategic level within the purchasing and supply function.
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Will be able to evaluate appropriate techniques for the strategic development of the procedures, processes and people involved in the materials management within different organisations
  • Will be able to determine appropriate policies and procedures for meeting the requirements of the customer
  • Will be able to analyse a range of purchasing techniques for the acquisition of materials from external sources of supply
  • Will be able to determine the procedures necessary for the effective acquisition and monitoring of special purchases and services
  • Will be able to evaluate the elements and procedures in relation to the control of the flow of materials within different organisations
