IUE 100  Orientation and Career Planning

The course will help students recognize the skills needed for university life and their career goals. These skills include self-awareness, goal setting, time management, effective communication, mindfulness and analytical thinking. The course will also raise students’ awareness on problems such as addiction and bullying.


VSC 115  Supply Chain: An Introduction to Enterprise Planning

The course is intended for candidates who aspire to take up a management role in a supply chain environment with any manufacturing, service or logistics organisation. It is also appropriate for those involved in the various functions associated with planning, procurement, distribution, marketing and finance.


VSC 113  International Trade and Payments


This course covers terms of trade between the exporter and the overseas buyer. .


TURK 101  Turkish I

Students will be taught how to use the written communication tools accurately and efficiently in this course. Various types of written statements will be examined through a critical point of view by doing exercises on understanding, telling, reading, and writing. Punctuation and spelling rules, which are basis of written statement, will be taught and accurate usage of these rules for efficient and strong expression will be provided.


VSC 105  Supply Chain Organizations: Structures and Functions

The Unit is primarily intended for candidates who may be working or intend to work in a procurement role within the supply chain although it would also be appropriate for those involved in the various functions associated with the supply chain, manufacturing, inventory, stores, production, distribution, planning, demand management, purchasing and customer relations.

This course primarily intended for candidates who aspire to take up a management position in any type of organisation where the supply chain will play a major role. This course covers the knowledge and understanding that underpins the technical expertise developed throughout the core units

It is primarily intended for candidates who wish to aspire to a management position within procurement and who wish to develop strategic knowledge that will contribute towards both the successful strategic management of the organisational supply chain and overall business. It is also appropriate for all contemporary industrial sectors.


TURK 102  Turkish II

Students will be taught how to use the written communication tools accurately and efficiently in this course. There will be exercises on understanding, telling, reading, and writing; types of speeches (panel, symposium, conference, etc.) will be introduced; the student will be equipped with information on using body language, accent and intonation, and presentation techniques.


VSC 118  Supply Chain Management Advanced Law

This cource covers legal aspects of tendering, competition law, intellectual property and the legal aspects of international trade.


ENG 102  Academic Skills in English II

ENG 102 is a compulsory course for first year students. ENG 102 focuses on the cognitive skills of listening, reading, writing and speaking. Students' academic listening skills will be improved by listening to important / relevant information from lectures or discussions and reading skills by reading recent academic texts and then using this information to create an output task. Speaking focuses on giving presentations and students get prepared to express their ideas and opinions by speaking persuasively and coherently. The writing component is a consolidation of the speaking activities.

This course provides a general information of the events from the end of the 19. century until the end of the Turkish War of Independence and the signing of the Treaty of Lausanne in 1923.

VSC 207  Supply Chain Capacity Planning and Production Operations

It is primarily intended for candidates who aspire to take up a management position in a manufacturing environment. With special reference to the Principals of Atatürk the course will examine the philosophy of the foundation and existence of the republican regime as well as the democratic developments in secular Turkey during the twentieth century and in the era of extending globalization.
